Canada pharmacy xenical

Objectives:We studied the effects of orlistat (Xenical) on clinical signs of anorexia and weight loss in patients with overweight and obesity.

Methods:We studied patients in the trial who had weight loss and signs of anorexia, weight loss after 2 weeks of treatment with orlistat, and/or signs of weight loss after 1 month of orlistat treatment.

Results:We have identified 11 patients with weight loss who achieved clinical signs of anorexia. Two patients had signs of weight loss. In these 11 patients, clinical signs of anorexia were found to be achieved within 2 weeks of the beginning of orlistat treatment. No patients had signs of weight loss.

Conclusions:Orlistat (Xenical) appears to reduce the incidence of clinical signs of anorexia in patients with overweight and obesity.

About orlistatThis medication contains the active ingredient orlistat. Orlistat is used to treat obesity (BMI). It belongs to a class of medications called lipase inhibitors. Orlistat reduces the amount of fat absorbed by your body by decreasing the amount of fat absorbed by your stomach and intestines. This medication should only be used as directed by your doctor. Do not use Orlistat more than directed. If you have trouble absorbing food or taking it, stop taking it and contact your doctor right away. Orlistat can cause your body to stop producing orlistat.

This medication is used to treat a condition called. It works by decreasing the amount of fat absorbed by the body.

Xenical is to treat people who are overweight or obese. This medicine works by targeting the absorption of dietary fat in your body rather than suppressing your appetite.

Dietary fats are large molecules that need to be broken down before they can be absorbed into the body. They are broken down by enzymes called lipases. That is, lipases play an important role in the digestion of dietary fat. When taken with a meal, Xenical interferes with the activity of these enzymes. This allows about 30% of the fat eaten in the meal to pass through the gut undigested. Therefore, your body cannot store these excess calories as fatty tissue or use them as a source of energy. This helps you to reduce your weight by burning up fat that you are already carrying, maintain your lower weight and minimise any weight regain. Losing even small amounts of weight and keeping it off produces additional health benefits for you, especially when you are at risk for other diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. Xenical can also help to improve risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar. If these are not treated, they could lead to other diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. Xenical should be taken in conjunction with a well-balanced calorie-controlled diet and other appropriate measures such as exercise.Active Ingredients:Xenical does not contain sucrose, gluten, tartrazine or any other azo dyes.
